Well things are still slow around here.  I did get my hair cut last week, its a lot shorter now and I really like it but I dont take a lot of pictures of myself so I dont have any pictures of the new do yet.   I have taken a few pictures of the boys though.  Last night we had corn on the cob with dinner and it was the first time Evan has eaten corn on the cob so I took a picture.  He had a lot of fun trying to figure out how to eat it.  Seth is sitting up on his own now, he has amazing balance, he only fell over once yesterday.  My mom is flying in from Michigan tomorrow, this will be her first time meeting Seth so I'm sure I'll have a lot of pictures to post during and after her visit.  Well I hope you in enjoy the few pics of the boys I have right now.

 Evan and his yummy corn.
Seth is enjoying his new found freedom of sitting by himself.
Just Seth.

Jed's Trip

Jed got back from Michigan last night.  He had a great time but was very happy to be back home in warm Florida.  He said that he was in his hooded sweatshirt the entire time he was up there, even at night in bed.  Yes, we have definitely become Floridians.  He was able to visit with all three of his sisters and their families while he there and some old friends that work at NTBI.  He met his nephew, Tiernan for the first time, who was born in May and he was able to visit, Ally, the dog that we gave to his sister Jessie.  Hopefully next time all four of us will be able to make it up to Michigan for a visit.  Here are some pictures of his trip.

Jed and Nate at the game, having the time of their lives.

After the game Jed headed up to Grand Rapids to spend Sunday with Jessie, Nate, Sofia and Ally.

They went to Meijer. Oh how I miss Meijer!  Jed bought me some Meijer cake because its my favorite cake in the world and he brought it back.  It was a little squashed but tasted amazing.  :)

Monday Jed headed back to Jackson to visit with his sister Missy and her family.  We havent seen the Hatton family in 2 years, Gianna (the little girl in the picture) was only 8 weeks old the last time we saw them.   I was so jealous that Jed got to meet little Tiernan before me!  Fortunately the Hattons are planning a visit to Florida around Christmas, yay!
Well now that I have my camera back I'll try taking more pictures of our family.  Hopefully I'll take one of jed and I that I actually like but no promises. :)

A Weekend

This past weekend was pretty uneventful.  We had small group on Friday, went to breakfast at the new Big Boy in town on Saturday (Big Boy is a new thing down here and people love it) and Sunday we went to church and then just relaxed.  While both boys were napping, Sunday, Jed and I took advantage and jumped in the pool.  Usually when we take Evan one of the two of us is holding him and the other is trying to entertain him, its fun but a lot of work.  I jumped on the aligator we inherited from Jed's sister and layed in the sun for about an hour.  I didnt even apply sunscreen that how carefree I was feeling (anyone who's been to the beach with me knows that I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to protecting myself from the sun).
 Oh so relaxing!
The boys did eventually get up from their naps and here are some pictures from the rest of our weekend.
After I fed Seth some fruit and cereal Evan decided to help me out by wiping up the mess.  He was very gentle with his brother.
But Seth still didnt appreciate his brothers help.
Whenever I go out somewhere with the boys people always tell me that my "hands are full" and I guess they're right.  I wouldnt have it any other way though.

Lost and Found

Last night I went to Target with Seth to pick up a few things.  Well I guess somehow my wallet fell out of my purse and into the basket of the cart after I checked out and I didnt notice.  I got home and an hour later a guy named Pluto called me and said that his daughter had found my wallet.  I was shocked because I didnt even know I had lost my wallet.  So after I freaked out and loaded the kids up we head off to meet Pluto's daughter at Steak and Shake.  The whole way there I was torn between being relieved and worrying what was going to be missing from my wallet.  Well God is amazing because not only did I get my wallet back but nothing was missing, no one had used my credit cards or my debit card.  I'm so thankful.
Today I went and switched my Michigan drivers licsense to Florida.  So its official I am a Florida resident, woohoo.

Aunt Becky

Aunt Becky gave Seth a couple of cute new outfits while she was visiting.  He wore them to church Sunday and got a lot of compliments.  He looks like such a little man!   Thanks aunt Becky for the adorable clothes.
This is Aunt Becky.  She was afraid that ticks would get in her hair while she was riding the fourwheeler through the woods. However notice the lack of concern for her bare feet.  She's a bit of a spaz but we love her anyways. :)  he he he
I forgot to post this picture last time.  I was walking in the rain at a park in Tennessee when a bird pooped on me.  At first I thought it was a fat rain drop that hit me until I looked at my hand.  I didnt even know that birds pooped in that color.  YUCK!

Weekend In Tennessee

Our weekend in Oneida, TN was good for the most part.   We stayed with Tom and Eve Z, good friends of the Cusi Family.  They build log cabins all over the US with, Barna Log Homes.  They built they're own home and all the other buildings on their property including the bunkhouse we stayed in this weekend.

This is the Z house, we spent a lot of time sitting on their front porch enjoying the cool weather, it was in the 60s and 70s all weekend.
My sister in law, Becky, and I took a ride on the four wheeler together, arent we cute :)
Evan went on his first fourwheeler this weekend, he loved it.  Daddy took him around nice and slow.
This is the whole group of us in Tennessee this weekend.  We had a blast.
Evan making friends with Mr. Zdanio.
Jed, Gwen and Evan all hangout on the big porch.  Jed attempted to whittle but he didnt make much progress with Evan constantly begging to get back on the fourwheeler.
We had a great time this weekend.  We were able to spend time with family and good friends, we got to explore some of Tennessee and we were able to relax.  This the best vacation we've had since our honeymoon, more than three years ago.  We're hoping to do it again next Labor day.

THE SAD ENDING
Unfortunately our weekend didnt end on a good note.  The last day we were there Gwen must have been wandering around in the woods and she was shot by someone.  We didnt realize it until we were on our way home at a rest stop in Georgia.  We noticed some bleeding and took a close look and found that she had a round deep hole in her left leg.  We rushed her to the vet as soon as we got home and they confirmed that it was a gun shot wound.  The vet said that it looked like the shooter was aiming for her heart because it was only four inches below her chest.  It horrifies me to think that someone purposely tried to kill our Gwen.   Right now gwen has an infection and she's on antibiotics, we have to clean her wound twice a day and drain all the puss.  Its pretty gross and I would imagine painful for Gwen.  We're hoping for the best but she may need surgery to remove some dead tissue.  We're really praying that it heals on it own because the surgery would be very expensive and it would prolong the healing process.  Other than that Gwen is doing really well, she's walking around, eating and half heartedly playing with Evan.   We love our Gwenny and I'm so thankful that she's still alive.
