Baby Bump

3
This baby is making him/herself comfortable in there.  My belly is expanding much faster than my other 2 pregnancies but that could be more b/c of my new found love for baked potatoes than the baby. :)   Sunday was my birthday and we went out to dinner with some friends to celebrate.  While at dinner I was sitting at the table when it felt as though I had been bitten or stung by something on my shin.   Instinctively I gasped, kind of pushed myself away from the table and tried to smack away whatever evil thing was attacking me.  I quickly realized  not only was there nothing under the table but also everyone was looking at me like I had two heads.  Jed asked me if I was having an "episode" (once when we were dating I passed out for no reason and now he calls it the "episode").   I was kind of embarassed but laughed it off and as I was trying to figure out what was going on, it happened again.  I realized it felt more like an electrical shock than a bite and it was probably something pregnancy related.  For the rest of the night I kept getting "shocked" over and over again, fortunately as long as I wasnt sitting down it was less intense.  I havent felt it since Sunday but I will definitely be asking my midwife about this!  I have had some weird and unexpected pregnancy related symptoms but this is the strangest so far.

Easter

We had a very relaxing easter.  The boys got up and hunted for eggs and their easter basket, then we had breakfast and got ready for church.  After church we went home and got ready to have Jay and Jamie over for dinner.  We had steak, chicken, ribs and salad for dinner (thats what happens when you put men in charge of dinner).    It was very nice to just enjoy the day and hang out with family.
Monday I had my consult with the midwife at the birthing center.   Jed came with me so we could make the decision together.  I have to say we were both very impressed, the house is beautiful, the midwife is awesome and they have a lot of similar equipment as a hospital but its only used in emergencies.   The best part of the meeting was when we got to hear the baby's heartbeat!   Everything sounds healthy which is relieving and it makes the baby seem more real.  I have to say thank you to my friend Len for watching the boys so both Jed and I could go to the appointment.  The boys had such a good time that they keep asking me if they can go back to Len's house.

Earlier this month was Jed and my five year anniversary, we didnt do much to celebrate at the time b/c we have two kids and it fell on a Tuesday.  So this weekend Jed surprised me by taking me away for a night to Daytona Beach.  I was really impressed b/c he even thought to get my sister to babysit the boys so we would be kid free!  We stayed in a beautiful hotel right on the beach and we had an ocean view!  We had a very relaxing time, walking on the beach, ordering room service and watching movies.  Thank you Tracy and Jed!  On Sunday our church had a BBQ and an egg hunt.  They also set up a bouncy castle and inflatable slide for the kids to play on, Evan loved it.  We all had a very good time even though it was almost 90 degrees!  I felt surprisingly well, but as soon as we got home the day caught up with me and I had to go to bed and lay there willing myself to not throw up, it was worth it though.
Today I finally set up my consultation with the birthing center I'd like to use with this pregnancy.  Jed and I will go in next week to meet with the midwife and tour the center.  We also have to find out if they take our insurance and how much insurance covers.  I have to admit I am a little freaked about the fact that I will have no option for pain medication but I hated my experience in the hospital and with Seth the epidural didnt help, I still felt everything!  I guess its more fear of the unknown than anything, I didnt like the hospital but at least I'm familar with it.  Well, I might not even get a choice, I have to wait and see what happens with my insurance.

A Good Day... So Far

Well after weeks of feeling constantly horrible today has been a nice break.  I woke up and had breakfast and instead of morning sickness immediately kicking in I felt fine.  That last until about 11, exhaustion and queasiness set in so the boys and I took a nap which was really good.  When we got up I was still feeling kind of yucky so we had lunch and I'm feeling really good again, therefore I felt like I should finally update this thing.  I apologize for being so neglectful, it wasnt on purpose.  I'm really looking forward to my second trimester when life should be back to normal and I no longer have the constant urge to puke!   As you can imagine we havent been up to much lately with me feeling so bad.  Last week Jed and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary.  It was pretty low key, we just went out to dinner as a family but it was good.  This past weekend Jed was finally able to get to the boys toddler bunkbeds, I thought it would take him a long time to get it done but he finished in 1 day.  It went so well for him that he wants to add a bookshelf when he has time.  Well, thats about it, I will leave you with pictures.

For Christmas my mom gave us money to buy the boys a picnic table from her.  Well since December all the picnic tables in our area have been sold out, we've litterally search every store.  About a week ago we found this one, mom I know its not the one that you specified but its all we could find and they LOVE it!

For Anyone Who Doesn't Know Yet

Do you like their shirts?  Read them both carefully.

Boys 3
Yup thats right they're both big brothers now!  We were pretty shocked when we found out (therefore 3 pregnancy tests) baby Cusi #3 is on the way but we're very happy!  I'm about 7 weeks along now (I think) and morning sickness kicked in full blast this past weekend.  Despite the all day nauseousness I still have cravings!  My top cravings right now are, mashed potatos, mac and cheese, general tso's chicken, fettucini alfredo(from olive garden), steak, hot fudge sundaes and cake.  I could gorge myself on all of those things right now! :)  On the other hand foods that make me want to lose my lunch are, chicken, cheddar cheese, milk chocolate, diet soda, fish, pork, and eggs.  My sense of smell is also heightened, I cant stand the smell of candles, dog (poor Gwen and Ally) pee filled diapers, our Jeep, mustard, and most deodorants.  Oh well, only 6 1/2 more weeks of morning sickness to go (if this is anything like my previous pregnancies).

We got home last night after a long car ride.  Unfortunately both boys are sick, fevers, coughing, runny noses and so on.   Hopefully they both recover quickly!
