Five Fun Filled Years

Seth wants to tell you, and anyone with in shouting distance of our backyard, something exciting!

"It's
My
Fifth
Birthday!"

So thankful for this amazing little boy!

These boys are going to par-tay!

Tests

Evan: "Mom, at school doctors came in and I took tests." (vision and hearing screenings)

Me: "I remember that."

Evan: "They were easy and I did a good job taking them."

Me: "Good."

Seth: "Evan, I went to the doctor once and I had to pee in a cup! It was hard but I did it!"

Evan: "Good job Seth. I had to do that before too. It was so hard."

The Other White Meat

Me: "Evan what do you think we should have for dinner tonight?"

Evan: "Meatloaf!"

Me: "I don't think I have any ground beef or turkey."

Evan: "Oh, well what about pig meat?! I love pig!"

Me: "You mean pulled pork."

Evan: "Mmm, yes, I love pulled pork!"

Me: "Well, I didn't thaw the pork."

Evan: "Oh. (It was silent for a little bit while I tried to come up with something for dinner) Mom, if we had a pig as a pet do you think it would make the pig angry if we named it pork?"

Me: "Uh... probably not."

Evan: "What about ribs or ham?"

Me: "No. Why?

Evan: "Because I love meat and if we had a pig it would be fun to call it, pork or ribs! Come here little ribbys! Hahaha! That would make me hungry too! Can we have something meaty for dinner?!"

Me: "I'll get on it right after I make you an appointment to see a therapist."

Evan: "To see a what?"

Me: "Never mind, love you!"

Evan: "Love you too."

East Coast, West Coast

We went to the beach TWO weekends in a ROW!

Last weekend we went to Cape Canaveral for the first time.

This weekend Sand Key park, also a first.

Last weekend we found that Kane is over his fear of the ocean, although still cautious.

This weekend we discovered Ford loves the water! It was his first time actually going in and from past experience we were bracing ourselves for him to freak out like his brothers, imagine our surprise when he happily kicked and splashed around. Later when we put him down on the sand to play he made a beeline back to water and with no fear went face first into the waves. The kid couldn't get enough!

I took these pictures while we were driving.

It was spring break therefore it was packed, we finally found parking here.

Kane loved these turtles!

The pier in Clearwater.

I haven't mustered up the courage to bring my "fancy" camera down to the beach yet (sand can do a lot of damage, not to mention water!) and I can't find my point and shoot so no pictures of the boys or the beach. :(

How to with Ford

Hi y'all, the name's Ford!

Btw, I can use "y'all" cause unlike my yankee parents I was born in this here southern state and they named me Ford, you don't get much more southern than that!

Let's get this four wheeler back on the trail folks!

Today I'm going to be teachin ya the proper technique for eatin graham crackers!

First open that there mouth of yours nice n' wide. Jam cracker in.

Take a bite.

Cram bite in.

Keep crammin!

Now let that baby saliva do it's magic.

Oh you're not a baby?!
Well, I guess you'll have to use those molars you got, not as fun but it gets the job done.

Repeat and enjoy!

Thats it!

Next time we'll go over the steps on how to throw a fit when your mom tries to wipe the crumbs off your face. If done correctly she gives up and lets you stay dirty!

See y'all then!

Daddy's New Wardrobe

My husband has a lot of clothes. He's a borderline clothing hoarder.

I'm working on an intervention.

Until then I talked him into buying this.
Its for his clothes that dont fit in our closet.

It also works well as a spot for Church to nap away from the hustle and bustle of small kids and two dogs.

Oh and its a great place for a 2 year old to take a much needed break from his tough schedule of playing and snacking.

I guess if the 2 year old needs a nap then so does the 4 year old...

Ok, come on! You guys gotta get out of there, I'm not going to have room for the rest of daddy's clothes!

Closing your eyes doesn't actually make you invisible... oh nevermind, I'll finish the laundry later.
